Cheryl Bayer Taylor - Yummy expectancy

So here we are --= 10:30 in the evening. Spoke to the Doctor today about my anxiety which seems to plague and push me like too-long hair into an overly small snood. Called Cheryl tonight to talk about and seek comfort about some things that are going on with me here at Grace Health Care. -- My sometimes present anxiety which loves awakening me at 6 A.M. or sometimes earlier -- loves bouncing me around on my mattress like rain drops on an overly hot 56 Chevy -- made worse by situational intrusions. Cheryl - -firmly assured me that she would have my back. I immediately felt safe and comfortable. Cheryl talked to me about her new wigs and somehow about her sarcastic response to a stupid interviewer when she was three years old. He asked her if she was married -- (remember she was three) and she told him that she was devorsed. (the spell checker in this blog program isn't worth shit) Remember, she was three - and she was already telling idiots to move along. I urged her, as has her husband, Jim, to get enough rest. The Chemo makes her tired - Cheryl's mind is always so active - as is her life. So slowing down and taking it easy is very foreign to her. --
I started some designs for new work. I need to buy some new tools and some new clay to work with -- On that certain level that most artists understand and feel -- I feel hope and joy. Tomorrow - good or bad -- I will start a new piece. I can feel the yummy expectancy -- even right now.
Lova ya to little bitty pieces.

Courage!

Sunday morning and I've eaten breakfast -- visited with some friends, Read the Sunday Paper and checked out the TV guide in order to plan my television viewing for the week. Vivian is a really lovely lady in her 80s who has been nice enough to befriend me. Shirley(SPELLING) her daughter-in-law dropped by to visit with her before she heads off to church. I've recently returned to this Blogging thing and it's fun. I realize that as I write and publish for the entire world to see -- that there are things I'd love to share with you, but it wouldn't be judicious for me to share some things at this time. My friend in the room next door, Emily Lynn, has been brought to the hallway this morning - waiting for her son. It's really nice to see them together. He is obviously a loving and protective son. He has expressed his extreme unhappiness about the overall care that his mother is receiving here at Grace Health Care. She might be leaving here. I hope they can work it out so that she can stay. I know that my own care here at this so-called "Skilled nursing facility" -- with a few glaring exceptions - has been good. I'll just tell you this -- According to Jeff Buckley, "IT TAKES COURAGE TO BE GENTLE AND KIND" Some of the management level employees here have more courage than others.

This experience has finally given me time to think and meditate -- - at Peacockjp@aol.com or indeed, right here.

May the Gods look down on you sweetly.

Till next time -- I'm

The land of the Underleaf -- The Trill of the Appoggiatura

Things here in this part of the Land of the Underleaf, the adventure continues. I am currently in one of the outlying valleys of the Kingdom where I've been for about a season. Pollup and EEEgore seem to still be up to their usual frivoloties. These two ground-bound elfics seem to carry with them the belief that they are much more powered than the King of Stumps ever intended. This sort of misunderstanding is not new to the land, and of course, we'll see it again. It's just a bit unsettling because the Pollup and the gang of dark ones seem to think they can move across the Land of the Stumps with out stirring up the ire of the Filly Dills. Most of the Land love the Fillys and see them as charming and amusing little creatures who also happen to be harmless. For those of you who either haven't heard or perhaps don't remember, The Filly Dills are little Bewinged Fat Ladies who mainly exist on the gift of Honey and who seem to be the gentlist of creatures. However, The Fillys have a direct line to the rather large Ears of the King of Stumps. When they have a message -- The King himself listens and he is listening. His Highness would much rather sit comfortably on his stump throne receiving his sustenance directly from the earth. He doesn't seem to enjoy having to stand up to an ill-wind. His response might be as subtle as usual, but he will react non-the-less.

Blog Back 12-4-2011

I've been looking for a new thought-outlet. I've been thinking about writing another book. Then stumbled across this old Blog -- started it up a couple of years ago -- then life intervened -- More about that later. So I'm happy to be back and to have this "new" outlet to share thoughts, dreams, plans -- and basic Bull-shit. I'll try to be more active and get myself to my little writing desk. I'm currently living here in Asheville - Most of my adult life was in New York City so this is an ongoing adjustment. I'm here at a skilled nursing facility named "Grace", and for those of you in the know, NO, that's not a joke.
